Walid Hamzeh named Executive Vice President for Strategic Development at Safran Landing Systems

Walid Hamzeh joins the Safran Landing Systems executive committee as Vice President for Strategic Development. He replaces Olivier Savin, who moves to another position within Safran.
Walid Hamzeh started his career in 1988 as a design engineer at Messier-Bugatti (now Safran Landing Systems) working on braking and steering systems. After holding several positions in the company's engineering, then customer support departments, he moved to Airbus in 1999, in the airline support division.
Walid Hamzeh moved back to Messier-Bugatti in 2001 as braking and steering systems program manager for the A380. Five years later he was named head of the company's systems programs.
In 2010, he was named Vice President, Programs at Labinal, now Safran Electrical & Power, a position he held until this latest appointment.
Walid Hamzeh, 53, graduated from the Ecole nationale supérieure de mécanique et d'aérotechnique engineering school (ENSMA) in 1987.
