Messier-Bugatti-Dowty announces executive appointments
On July 1, 2015, Olivier Savin was named Executive Vice President, Strategic Development, a unit that comprises business development, strategy, research and technology.
Olivier Savin, 48, graduated from the SupDeCo business school (1989), and has an MBA from ICADE Madrid (1990). He joined the Group in 1992 with the Messier-Bugatti Repair division, in charge of military spares, then took marketing and joint venture management positions. After holding several management positions at Snecma Services from 1998 to 2007, in particular heading SMES and the Repair division, he was placed in charge of the CFM56 and LEAP engine programs as Executive Vice President at CFM. He was named Safran's EGTS green taxiing program manager in 2011, then head of Messier-Bugatti-Dowty's EGTS division in 2014.
On July 15, 2015, Vincent Caro has been appointed Executive Vice President, Wheels and Brakes Division.
Vincent Caro, 45, holds an engineering degree from ESTACA (1996), an advanced masters from ESSEC and an Executive MBA from HEC (2011). He started his career as an organization consultant, then joined ex-Labinal Group in 1996. He was named head of purchasing at Labinal, then Managing Director of the joint venture Matis Aerospace in July 2005, moving to Snecma in July 2008 as head of purchasing. He joined Messier‑Bugatti‑Dowty in July 2013 as Executive Vice President, Programs.
On September 1, 2015, Nigel Woodford has been appointed Executive Vice President, Programs.
Nigel Woodford, 53, holds a master's degree in Engineering Science from the University of Cambridge (1988). He joined the Dowty Group in 1980, and in 1997 was named Program Director for landing gear on Airbus Single Aisle aircraft. He was then named Vice President Customer Support for all landing gear programs in 2006, also acting as key account manager for all Airbus products when Messier-Bugatti-Dowty was created. From January 2013 until this latest appointment he was MRO UK Managing Director in Gloucester.
Alain Frehring is appointed Executive Vice President, Purchasing, effective October 1, 2015.
Executive Vice President Purchasing of Labinal Power Systems since 2009, Alain Frehring, 47, is graduated in engineering of the Ecole des Mines Saint-Etienne (1992) and holds an MBA from HEC (1994). He started his career with PSA and Deloitte Consulting. In 2001 he was named head of supplier relations at CC-Hubwoo. Moving to Faurecia from 2004 to 2009, he was Purchasing and international Operations Manager, then head of Purchasing for northern and eastern Europe, and subsequently for Asia.
