Messier-Bugatti wins AAAF award

On June 9, in the premises of the Aéro-Club de France, Messier-Bugatti received the 2010 Success Award from the French Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AAAF) for work by the EADS Airbus and Boeing 787 electric brake team.

This award recognizes ten years of work leading up to the first flight test of an electric brake on a commercial aircraft, an Airbus A340-600, in 2008, and the product's choice for the Boeing 787, now undergoing flight testing before service entry.

The Safran group earned further recognition, as a young engineer from Hispano-Suiza won the Youth Award.

Furthermore, two young engineers from ENSMA, hired by Messier-Bugatti, received a special mention in the Youth Award category, for their work on the Eolia project, involving a wind tunnel used to teach aerodynamics.
