Job description

Able to perform mechanical fitting tasks on aircraft test components and fixtures ensuring on time delivery to internal and external customers. Must have extensive work experience and knowledge with mechanical fitting, hydraulic systems repair and installation, machine tools and welding.
*Assemble and maintain test rigs and associated mechanical equipment
*Install and maintain hydraulic systems and equipment.
*Perform fitting tasks on aircraft test components
*Perform preventative maintenance
*Modify and fabricate test rigs and fixtures
*May be required to supervise and / or give direction to contractors
*Operate within MBD and or Government HS&E guidelines
*Maintain acceptable cleanliness levels in test lab and associated areas

Job requirements

Graduation from a technical college with Millwright Maintenance technician or equivalent certification. [apprenticeship]
1+ years' experience
Excellent mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and hydraulic schematics
Ability to operate a variety of machine tools
Experience welding and fabricating
Experience with hydraulics including tube bending and installation
Competent decision making skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work shifts and overtime when required, * Basic electrical knowledge * Basic computer skills
